　今回は、フィリピンのかたがたにもぜひ共有していただきたいと思い、通巻600号のブログに掲載した内容の英訳版をお届けします。

　I would like to introduce some of the key points of the ENCHILD Scholarship Program.

1) The ENCHILD Scholarship is available to students from elementary school to university (college).

2) Students can continue to receive the scholarship if they meet certain conditions.

3) The scholarship recipients are expected to work diligently at their studies, live with dreams and aspirations, and aim to achieve a life (social life) with JIRITSU and KYORITSU (Being independent and Standing together).

4) The conditions for renewal of the scholarship are as follows

■The applicant and his/her parent/guardian pledge to abide by the qualifications of the scholarship

■In principle, the student must meet the standard of 85% or above in school performance.

■Participate in ENCHILD activities (exchange programs) in addition to receiving the scholarship.

■Recommendation by the local coordinator (in cooperation with the school)

■Approval by the NPO ENCHILD

　ENCHILD's scholarship program is designed to fulfill ENCHILD's mission of "eradicate the intergenerational cycle of poverty" through education support.

　At the same time, the scholarship program is also a social education program (peace advocate education) to foster the next generation to realize a better society. This is the reason why we not only provide scholarships but also encourage active participation in exchange programs.

　We hope that students will not only aim for self-reliance (health independence, spiritual independence, economic independence, and social independence), but also grow up to be people who practice the KYORITSU way of life (KYOSEI/Living together, KYOJO/ Helping each other, and KYOKAN/Sympathizing each other = 8 Elements) of living for the sake of others.

　In October 2020, we established "ENCHILD-Youth" as an affiliate of NPO ENCHILD.

　ENCHILD-Youth targets ENCHILD Scholars (Peace Advocates) in Senior High School and above, and also encourages alumni to join.

　ENCHILD-Youth is a place to practice being a Peace Advocate, and a team of people working together to take action to realize a better society.　

　Currently, the percentage of university student scholars is increasing.

　The scale of education support for university students is about three times that of elementary and high school students. We are currently unable to support the education of university students with just one unit of support.

　Therefore,　we would like to ask all monthly sponsors to consider supporting the ENCHILD scholars' dreams and hopes, as well as their aspirations as peace advocates, by donating one, two, or three units per month.

　On August 21, we are planning to hold an online exchange event where all ENCHILD Scholars and people from the Philippines can gather with our supporters and stakeholders in Japan as part of a special meeting to commemorate ENCHILD's 10th anniversary.
