The coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic is defining global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we have faced. Everyday people are losing jobs and incomes, with no way of knowing when normality will return. Lockdowns and curfews to contain the spread of the virus impacted the way children learn, the way their families earn a living, and how safe they feel in their home. We can't normally go outside because we should wear facemask and if you go outside make sure that’s you have important matters to do. While there still time we spend our time with our family, and make more memories with them.
「Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world」Nelson Mandela
It started with a simple request last year from the faculty and staff of Marcelo H. del Pilar Elementary School, (Philippines) headed by Dr. Jacqueline V. Luzon, principal, Pamela S. Morong, EnChild Coordinator. A request that was not sure if it will be granted or materialized since it was pandemic.
A unit of printer and bond papers to be used for printing the Learning Activity Sheets of learners for them to use even they are at home. Different modalities were implemented just to continue the delivery of learnings/education to every individual. Constant communication, follow up was done and initiated by the in-charge.
Surprisingly it did materialize. 2 units of printer and 20 reams of bond papers was received last April 17, 2021 but it was already under the leadership of our new principal, Dr. Cristeta D. Cortez. Not only that 2 boxes of stationary and school supplies was also given through a courier directly from Japan.
Rest assured that what you have given will be used accordingly especially for printing the Learning Activity Sheets (LAS).
So, in behalf of Marcelo H. Del Pilar Elementary School I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to NPO Enchild, Mr. Takanori Todate, Donors, Mr. Tsutomu Shimada, who is very industrious in updating me the status of the said request and Mr. Keano Romero, who never fails to remind me.
Indeed constant communication matters.
Thank you for supporting our LAS Project.
May our partnership lasts throughout the year and the coming years.
We, my family assured that we are safe and at the same time healthy, taking vitamins, avoiding to interact with other people and sleep on time to prevent any symptoms from this sickness. And I hope you too , the Japan delegates who are there always for us supporting our studies and help us to grow. Hope that you are okay there and keep kicking despite of all hardships.
In my everyday living I noticed a lot of happenings, the trees and plants are growing and glowing healthy, looks great with the strong color green and standing as one to cover us from the heat of the sunlight. As happen now, all frontliners stand by one and sacrifice their lives to protect us and prevent the constant or increasing cases of Covid-19 patients.
We can make fun out of anything, but never make a joke against someone's situation and such. We don't know what they are going through, those people who are experiencing those 'things' that you made fun of.
We must be mindful of what we are going to post in social medias. Yes, it's great to make some entertainment for the people, but make sure it doesn't affect someone. A joke should be funny, in the first place, not offensive and degrading. You have no idea what you can fix or destroy with just one single post.
How does Globalization affect our society? Globalization is related to major and rapid human change and development. The migration of people from rural to urban areas has quite increased, and the growth of cities in developing countries, in particular, is related to many people living in substandard conditions. Family discord, as well as social and domestic violence, are on the rise. The good things about Globalization, it has made access to a lot of stuff as easy as possible, with just the tip of our hands or fingers we can learn a lot of things, stuff like another nation's culture, or simply access researches. Aside from that benefit, another good thing about globalization is the spread of technology and innovation we are now connected with the other parts of the world and because of this knowledge transfers fast. Globalization has also helped build our economy having investors from all around the world.
Globalization refers to the acceleration of global movements and transactions (of people, products, and services, resources, technology, and cultural practices). Globalization has the effect of fostering and growing connections between various regions and communities around the world. Millions of people are linked thanks to the power of the digital world through platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Skype, and Youtube, resulting in technological globalization. Again as stated before Globalization is useful and important in trying to connect with the rest of the world, not limiting ourselves to the local and national opportunities, globalization gives us the chance to look for greener pastures outside the nation, thus helping our economy to develop even more. We can even make new connections from other parts of the world which is another great use or effect of globalization.
My whole week is very blessed because last Monday me together with my church mates have a health cleaning to the malnourished children. I learned that whoever you are, poor or rich, weak or strong, we need to care and love each other because God said, “Love each other and care each other just like how I care and love you.” It means we should love other people just like ourselves.
Good day ENCHILD! Today I’m very happy because I’m still a honor student in our school and that is because all of you. Thank you for very much ENCHILD for always showing your support and love. I’m proud of myself for being a honor student. Back in my elementary days, I really preferred on playing rather than studying, because I am an Athlete - a Soccer Player, and because of my dedication in sports I make it to Regional Level. But when I step out in elementary, and face my secondary years I realized that studying is very important than extra-curricular activities. I can’t believe that I make it through the honor students. It really feels great when you sow the fruits of your hard work especially on studying.
Be proud in yourself, and always try to reach out your goal. No matter what other people may say (even if they say that you can’t proceed, you can’t reach your dreams) still believe and try and try and try until you succeed. Be proud of who you are, show them what you can do and what you’ve got; and show them that you can reach your dreams no matter what happen.
Bullying is very common, complex, rampant, and potentially damaging form of violence among children and adolescents. Bullying is defined as unwanted, aggressive behavior, which involves a real or perceived social power imbalance. The behavior is repeated overtime (therefore, the definition excludes occasional or minor incidents). These actions are purposeful uncomfortable.
Any children can experience bullying. It can occur in many different forms and impact children for a very long time after, affecting their performances at school and their emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. So it’s important that parents and teachers know the signs of bullying and are familiar with the various ways to tackle it.
I, for one a victim of bullying. People calling me names and stuffs, but still, I stand tall and firm. I resist and overcome it all. And I am proud to say that I am a survivor of bullying. The good thing is it teaches me to be strong and brave all the times, so that no one can ever bully me nor taken me granted. Then. I’ve became a better version of myself!
Therefore, we should stop bullying, because bullying is terrifying and it is spreading not just in our society but also in the whole world. Let us prevent bullying so that we can live a happy, harmonious and peaceful life.
