こんにちは、エンチャイルドの広報担当、地球村山歩です。

　昨日のオンライン・スタディーツアーでのレクサン・ジェーン・ラサップさん（パガッパタン・バランガイのエンチャイルド奨学生）のスピーチを紹介します。

　レクサンさんは現在、カラガ・ステート大学1年生（今年の新学期から2年生に）です。

　レクサンさんは努力家で、大変優秀な学生だと聞いています。

　Since I was a child, I wish that someday I will be given an opportunity to enter the life of being a college student. Before, because of hardship in life, I know that it is impossible. Bur I didn't lose hope. Until someday, I met this One Child One Peace Organization. Now, my wish was being granted. I already experienced the college life and step by step reaching my ambition someday to become a professional Mathematics teacher.

　私は子供の頃から、いつの日か大学生になる機会を得たいと思っていました。
　以前は、人生における苦難のために、それが不可能であると思っていました。しかし私は希望を失いませんでした。そしてOne Child One Peace-Project（エンチャイルドの奨学金支援）に出会うことによって今、私の願いはかなえられました。
　私はすでに大学生活を経験し、いつの日か数学教師になるという夢に一歩一歩近づいています。

　I am inspired to continue my life in spite of difficulties because of my family, cause I know how hard our life is. I experienced seeing my family in a hard situation and I don't want them to endure a long time. My family is a priceless gift, greater than anything I can imagine. If it weren’t for your help, I am not sure what I would do. Also, my second inspiration are my brothers and sisters in Japan who are responsible in helping the unfortunate people in terms of financial status like me. I am very grateful that I am one of the lucky student who was chosen to be one of the beneficiaries of the One Child One Peace Organization that is being led by our president Mr.Todate in Japan and also Mr.Bolongaita in Butuan who assisted students to walk in a right path, and someday I want to become like them, helping students without exchange and making their dreams to come true. 

　私にインスピレーションを与えている1番の存在は私の家族です。
　家族のために人生を生きたいと思います。なぜなら、家族の生活がどれほど大変か知っているからです。家族を長い間苦労させたくないと思っています。家族は、私が想像する以上にかけがえのない贈り物です。

　もし皆さんのサポートがなかったら、私はどうなっていたか分かりません。
　私の2番目のインスピレーションは、私のような経済的に恵まれない人々を助ける責任を負っている日本の兄弟姉妹の皆さんです。
　私は、日本の理事長や、学生が正しい道を歩むためにサポートしてくださっているブトゥアンのボロンガイタさんが主導しているOne Child One Peace-Projectの受益者に選ばれた幸運な学生の一人であることにとても感謝しています。
　いつか皆さんのように、私も学生たちを支援して彼らの夢をかなえたいと思っています。

　I do not have the words to tell you how truly fortunate I feel to have you in my life. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you so much for your kindness and support! I’m exceedingly lucky to have such a caring family around me. To each individual especially students, success is not achieved in a day or in a night, it is rather a long steady process of hard work and commitment. Let us be kinder to one another, because there is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

　私の人生に皆さんがいてくれて本当に良かったと思っていますが、それを十分に伝える言葉がありません。
　私を支えてくれてありがとうございます。皆さんの優しさとサポートに本当に感謝しています。私の周りにこのような思いやりのある家族がいることは、非常に幸運なことです。

　特にきょう一緒に参加してくれているエンチャイルド奨学生の皆さん！ 成功は一日や一晩で得られるものではなく、努力と献身の長い地道なプロセスによってなされます。

　ですから私たちは、互いにさらに優しくなりましょう。いつもいつも、感謝すべきことがあるのですから。
