ミンダナオ島北東部地域マガリャネス、ブハン小学校出身のエンチャイルド奨学生、ルーファ・A・オグカンさん（16歳、グレード10）のエッセーです。
ルーファさんは、よく寄稿してくれている奨学生の一人です。
書くことは思考すること。思考することはより良く生きる道を模索すること。エッセーや小論文の寄稿が、エンチャイルド奨学生たちの気付きや新たな発見、成長・飛躍の機会になることを願ってやみません。

人生の意味
自身の経験や葛藤、重大な出来事、夢、その他の視点によって、人生の定義は異なってきます。
確かに人生は、自分の目標をいかに達成するか、将来何になるかに焦点が置かれます。実際に予期していないことや、私たちが計画していないことに対して理解することは難しいものです。
しかし全てに理由があります。全てに目的があります。私たちは人生の目的を持ってこの世で生きているのです。それは明白です。
人生の真の意味は、あなたが得た成功やあなたが獲得した物質的なものによって決定されるものではなく、他者の人生に意味を与えるためにあなたが成したことにあります。
それは他の人々との関係性を深めることであり、神に近づくことです。このことが誰もが達成しなければならない最高のものであると認識することは非常に重要なことです。

The Meaning of Life
Life defines differently by our own experiences, struggles, momentous events, dreams, or other perspectives. Purely, it focuses in ourselves on how we are going to make it, how we are going to achieve one's goal and what we will become in the future. It is getting difficult to understand things that we do not actually expected or the way we planned it. But everything has a reason. Everything has a purpose. We live in this world with our purpose in life. It really does make sense.
The true meaning of life does not define of your success you will be obtained nor material things you acquired but the things you fulfilled that gives meaning to other lives. It is more on relationships to other people and get closer to God. It is very important to realize that they are the best things that everyone must have to achieve.
