　2月12日に行われたクリスマス・プロジェクト報告会から、バランガイ・アンバゴ＆パガッパタン チームの発表内容を紹介します。

　チームメンバーは、Karyll Dianne M. Amamangpangさん、Rexan Jane Lasapさん、Althea Bustilloさん、そしてAubrey Buqueさんの4人です。

プロジェクトの概要

　私たちアンバゴとパガッパタンの地域のエンチャイルド・ユースは2022年12月28日、「夢を実現しようとする戦士へのクリスマスチャリティー」プロジェクトを実施しました。

　それまでに私たちは、学用品、衛生キット、飾り付け、印刷物、および食事の購入のために7日間の準備期間をかけました。
　私たちはこのプロジェクトの受益者として、バランガイ・アンバゴにある、Ambago Integrated Schoolの在校生から20人を選びました。

　クリスマス・プロジェクトのイベントはアンバゴのカバード・コート（集会所）で、地域の役員のかたの承認を得て開催しました。4時間のプログラムとなりました。

　エンチャイルドの卒業生で、最近、社会福祉士の資格を取得したばかりのマーストレル・カブサオさんにも声をかけ、一緒に活動しました。

　イベントでは「Happy One Family♪」の曲で、子どもたちにダンスを指導しました。そこには、たくさんの喜びと愛があふれていました。子どもたちの喜びようが、写真やビデオからも伝わってきます。

　学用品や衛生キットを配布しただけでなく、私たちは子どもたちとの交流の時間も持ちました。ゲームをしたり、インタビューをしたり、ティクトックダンスを披露したりしました。
　昼食にはフィリピンで人気の食事「ジョリビー」を準備しました。受益者の子どもたちはおなかいっぱい、喜びいっぱいの様子でした。

　一方、この活動に費やした費用の総額は21,794.3ペソでした。（当初の予算の）残りの4,115.7ペソは、ジョニー・ボロンガイタ氏の承認を得て、「Barog Mindanao（バログ・ミンダナオ）」で活動するジョン・ライル・ボロンガイタ氏を通じて同団体に寄付しました。Barog Mindanaoは、台風で被害を受けたミンダナオ島北部の被災者の家庭を救援する活動を行っている団体です。

どんな感想を得たのか？～エンチャイルド・ユースとして

　プログラムに関わった皆が幸せな気持ちになりました。特にイベント終了後の子どもたちは、幸せそうな表情をしていました。私たちのプロジェクトが成功したと言える理由は、目標を達成できたからです。
　つまり、「夢を実現しようとする戦士へのクリスマスチャリティー」と題した今回のプロジェクトを通じて、「サンタクロースになろう！」「受益者（テイカー）から支援者（ギバー）へ、平和を守る実践者になろう！プロジェクト2022」というテーマのもと、私たちは子どもたちにクリスマスの精神を届けることができたからです。

　準備する力や判断力を持って、お互いが協力し、参加する努力がなければ私たちはこのプロジェクトを成功できなかったと思います。

　受益者の保護者の皆さんからも「ありがとう」という感謝の言葉を頂きました。私たちの行動が感謝されたその時、私たちも感動し、そこから来る感謝の思いや幸福感は計り知れないものだと実感しました。

　このような機会を与えていただき、感謝しています。受益者の数は限られていたとしても、子どもたちの人生に大きな変化をもたらすことができたと私たちは信じています。

受益者の声

　今回のクリスマス・プロジェクトでは、合計で20人の受益者にクリスマス・ギフトを配布することができました。
　学用品や衛生用品を受け取った子どもたちは、それぞれ自分の気持ちを話してくれました。その多くは、「うれしかった」「ありがとう」という感謝の言葉でした。また、2023年の新学期を迎える彼らにとって、大切なクリスマスのプレゼントになったということを子どもたちは強調していました。

Christmas Program Narrative Report
Enchild Youth Ambago

Summary of the Project

　On December 28, 2022, we the Enchild Youth Ambago and Pagatpatan conducted “Christmas Charity to a Warrior of their Dreams” Project. We allocated 7 days preparation for the buying of school supplies, hygiene kits, designs, printing, and meals. We have listed 20 beneficiaries all from Brgy Ambago who are currently studying in Ambago Integrated School. The event was held at Brgy. Ambago Covered Court through the approval of the Brgy. Officials. It was a 4 hour duration program with the Program Flow followed accordingly. We invited Marstrelle Cabusao, who is an Enchild graduate and just recently earned Registered Social Worker credential. “Happy One Family Song” was used throughout the event in which we taught the children to dance on the spot. It was filled with so much joy and love. The smiles of the children are very evident in the pictures and videos. It was not only distribution of school supplies and hygiene kits, but we also got to spend time with the children. We played games, small interview session, and performed tiktok dance. The classic Filipino meal “Jollibee” was their lunch. Surely, they went home with full stomach and a grateful heart.

　On the other hand, the total expenses spent on the activity is Php 21,794.3. The remaining Php 4, 115.7 was donated to Barog Mindanao as approved by Mr.Johnny Bolongaita and signed by the Barog Mindanao Officer John Ryle Bolongaita. Barog Mindanao is a relief operation for the affected families of Northern Mindanao during the typhoon situation.

What are your feelings? ～Enchild Youth

　We were all happy. Happy faces were also shown on children's face during and most especially after the event. We can say that our project was successful because we have met our goals. We were able to deliver the Christmas spirit to the children through Enchild Project entitled “Christmas Charity to the Warrior of their Dreams” with the theme “Let’s be a Santa Claus! Project 2022 from beneficiary (taker) to Supporter (giver) let’s be a Peace Advocate Practitioner! The program wouldn’t be a success without each other’s effort to help and partake in the preparations and decision making skills. There were some parents who attended and they were very grateful to us by saying thank you. They appreciated our efforts and kindness and that is the time we felt touch and realized we can't truly measure our gratefulness and happiness. We were very thankful that we were given this opportunity. Even if it’s a small scale population, but we do believed that we made a huge difference in those children’s lives. 

Reactions of the Recipients 

　In totality, we have 20 recipients of our Christmas Charity Program. Each child is given the chance to talk about their feelings after receiving the school supplies and hygiene kit. Most of their responses were saying that they were happy and thankful to the people behind the project. They also emphasized that it is an important Christmas gift for them since they will be entering new school year for the year 2023.
