24人目は、アンパロ・ハイスクール出身のエンチャイルド奨学生、エドリック・ジョン・バルダド君（当時、大学5年／フィリピン・ポリテクニック大学 建築学専攻）です。
エドリック・ジョン・バルダド君は、エンチャイルド・ユースのリーダーの一人として、常に最前線に立って頑張ってくれました。

抱負メッセージ

「実践的な地域活動の変革力：私のエンチャイルドの旅」
大学生の奨学生として、私は教室内で行われること以上に、教育には多くのことがあることに気付きました。エンチャイルドでの実践的な地域活動を通じて、私は自分の周りの世界に対する理解を深めることができました。これらの経験は私の視野を広げただけでなく、学業や人間的成長にも大きな影響を与えました。
私の記憶に永遠に刻み込まれる地域プロジェクトの一つは、イサベラでの救援物資配布、特にMFDC基地内にあるハッピーファームビルでの支援活動です。
2020年の台風ユリシーズの影響を受けた元反乱軍（先住民でもある）に支援を提供するという使命は、目を見張るような経験でした。逆境に直面したこれらの地域の回復力と強さを目の当たりにすることは、謙虚になると同時に刺激的な体験でした。
このプロジェクトの重要性は、単なる慈善行為にとどまりませんでした。これは奨学生としての私にとって単なる経験ではなく、私の学問の軌跡に深く影響を与えた経験でした。この経験は、私の学部論文のインスピレーションの源になりました。
救援物資配布ミッション中に得た知識と洞察は、建築と先住民の人たちの地域の関係を探求したいという私の情熱を刺激しました。
エンチャイルドのたゆまぬ努力によって可能になったこの経験は、私の研究分野に有意義な貢献をしたいという私の決意に火をつけてくれました。私は、これらの脆弱なコミュニティーに直接利益をもたらす論文を書きたいと考えるようになり、エンチャイルドはこのビジョンを形作る上で重要な役割を果たしてくれました。
学位論文の入り口に立っている今、私はここに至った道のりを振り返らずにはいられません。今年は大学の学位取得に向けた私の探求の最終段階であり、私は興奮と深い責任感の両方で満たされています。エンチャイルドとの関わりを通じて私が集めた研究と知識は、間違いなく私の論文の成功に重要な役割を果たすでしょう。
この旅で私は、真の教育とは知識を得ることだけではなく、その知識を応用して世界に前向きな変化をもたらすことだと理解するようになりました。
エンチャイルドは、この道の導きの光であり、地域社会と関わり、その課題から学び、その改善に貢献する機会を与えてくれました。
学問の旅の最終段階に着手するに当たり、私はエンチャイルドとの関わりを通して得た貴重な教訓とインスピレーションを携え、世界に変化をもたらすための知識と決意を身に付けて、夢の建築学のコースで学士号を取得して卒業することを目標としています。

“The Transformative Power of Hands-On Community Engagement: My Enchild Journey”
As a college scholar, I have come to realize that there is so much more to education than what takes place within the confines of a classroom. It's through our hands-on community activities with Enchild that I have had the privilege to deepen my understanding of the world around me. These experiences have not only broadened my horizons but have also had a profound impact on my academic and personal growth.
One of the community projects that will forever remain etched in my memory is the relief distribution in Isabela, particularly with the Happy Farmville, nestled inside Camp MFDC. The mission to provide assistance to the Former rebels, who are also Indigenous people, affected by the Typhoon Ulysses in 2020 was an eye-opening experience. Witnessing the resilience and strength of these communities in the face of adversity was both humbling and inspiring.
The significance of this project extends beyond a simple act of charity. It was not just an experience for me as a scholar; it was an experience that profoundly influenced the trajectory of my academic journey. This experience served as a wellspring of inspiration for my undergraduate thesis.
The knowledge and insights gained during the relief distribution mission fueled my passion to explore the relationship between architecture and indigenous community. This experience, which was made possible through Enchild's tireless efforts, solidified my determination to make a meaningful contribution to my field of study. I realized that I wanted to pursue a thesis that would directly benefit these vulnerable communities, and Enchild was instrumental in shaping this vision.
As I stand at the threshold of my undergraduate thesis, I can't help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. This year marks the final step in my quest to obtain my college degree, and I am filled with both excitement and a profound sense of responsibility. The research and knowledge I have gathered through my involvement with Enchild will undoubtedly play a crucial role in the success of my thesis.
In this journey, I have come to understand that true education is about more than just acquiring knowledge; it's about applying that knowledge to create positive change in the world. Enchild Philippines has been a guiding light on this path, offering me the chance to engage with my community, learn from its challenges, and contribute to its betterment.
As I embark on the final leg of my academic journey, I carry with me the invaluable lessons and inspiration I've gained through my involvement with Enchild, with the goal of graduating with a bachelor's degree in my dream course of Architecture, armed with the knowledge and determination to make a difference in the world.

「クリスマス・プロジェクト」は、支援者の皆さまとエンチャイルド奨学生、現地スタッフが共に取り組む、社会課題解決型の奉仕プロジェクトです。
奨学生たちがチームを編成し、自ら企画したプロジェクトを実施します。チームごとに自主的に社会課題を見いだし、その課題を解決するためのプロジェクトに挑戦します。
プロジェクトは、12月～1月に実施される予定です。2025年2月～3月には、各プロジェクトの成果を共有する報告会をオンライン（公開）で実施いたしますので、ぜひご参加ください！
プロジェクトに必要な予算は日本側で応援します。なお、ご支援の募集期間を12月25日まで延長いたしました。応援のほど、何卒よろしくお願い申し上げます。
